Baby Fashion

I went shopping today to get Noah something to wear when he's finished, and I thought maybe I should pick up something from carter's as we have a shop here where I live. So I went there and they had a 50% sale, awesome! I've seen a lot of reborn doll hauls on youtube to know what looks cute and whats a good deal. I went to the boys' layette section and was surprised at the prices. the layette costs close to 100 QR here thats $30! They usually run for $10-$15 tops, I'm ordering online next time. Anyway I got this cute set for Noah...

And I didn't forget Nico and got this for him...

Of course I peeked at the girl's section and had a look around. I found this super cute dress...

these little crib shoes would look gorgeous paired with the set from M'artBabyAccessories

New Baby

I think I have an online-shopping problem. Okay I do have an online-shopping problem. So I ordered another kit.. I know I should wait and see if little noah will come along nicely, but I couldn't resist that sweet little face. She's the Coco-Malu sculpt by the talented and magnificent sculptor Elisa Marx..

Yes she is an open eyed baby, but guess what? I ordered these!!!..

Aren't they gorgeous.. if I hadn't come across German glass eyes I would have been stuck with sleeping babies forever. You see I don't get people who use acrylic eyes, I know some reborners have a budget and things like that, but if you're gonna make a lifelike piece of art, you might as well put your best into it. It will pay for itself when you sell it. These are so realistic the reflection on them is perfect and they come in beautiful natural colours. Coco's little curled up full legs are the cutest thing I've ever seen...

Can't wait to get her! I think she's gonna be a keeper, or at least for a while.

Nico Is Done

Nico is finished! or I think her is. He still needs hair stuff like brows, lashes and of course hair, but for the most part he's finished. Getting the skin tone I wanted was kinda easy I thought I was gonna spend hours neutralising him. He needs a new body I hate his legs so I'm placing an order later tonight for 3/4 limbs along with a couple more kits Ive been eyeing. So here he is...

I still need to work on his sucking blister.

I added some extra texture on his nose and ears. All the babies in the reference photos had texture so I added it.

I gave his feet a slightly warmer look, like a baby's feet when u take off the socks and they look warm and sweaty.

My favourite part of him are his hands, I just love them. The yellow part under the finger pads was not as easy as I thought, but they did turn out the way I wanted.

I don't think I'm going to sell him. He's my first boo-boo baby and for some reason I feel that this is his home and he shall stay.

Nico WIP

I've been working on and off on the Nico kit, so far so good. I was using the precious little baby dust DVD I mentioned in my last post, it was a HUGE help. I could show my work before the DVD but you'd all be terrified. I'm so glad I made a wise choice by picking it up. Can't wait for the other DVD to get here. Here are some WIP shots of Mr.Cutie...

I need to darken his blushing a little bit, and make him slightly darker. Well wish me luck. I have no idea what I'm doing I finished all the chapters in the tutorial and now it's up to me to make him live.

Baby Fashion

I was surfing around the internet looking for the hot and new in baby gear, I've seen other fellow bloggers posting baby clothes and I really liked it when a new post appeared about a new outfit or set... So I'm doing the same.

Now I'm not a fan of generic brands, or the kind of brands u find at Target or Walmart(a side from carters), don't get me wrong I don't have anything against these brands, it's just I wouldn't exactly dress my babies in them. But, I found this super cute set on Amazon it's by Gerber and I fell in love..

The cars are so cute! If I was going to dress my babies in any item from the set I would probably need more items from somewhere else. For example the little car T-shirt would look cuter with say a yellow or bright blue pants like this one by baby Gap

I love rompers and dresses on baby girls. I don't know what it is, it just make me wanna snatch that baby and cuddle with her. I found this super cute dress on Something Shop..

A pair of cream tights and pink shoes would complete the look, both by Mothercare.

Another Order?

So I placed another order, well I didn't actually order them, see when I placed the first order it declined my payment method so I closed the tab and looked for another website and ordered  what I mentioned in my last post. So then I accidentally closed the window I was working on and when I reopened it, it opened the old website and some how the website accepted the payment and shipped the items today. So somethings are going to be sold like the extra genesis paints, but I am going to keep the kit. This is Nico by Gudrun Legler..

He is so sweet. All of Gudrun Legler's dolls are stunning and I can assure you this isn't the last kit I'm going to buy by her.

His hands are stunning so are his feet. Real effect dolls are the best, no really, the realism is to the top and they are so versatile. I've seen all the kits in a lot of races and they all look gorgeous. They should pat themselves on the back for their work.

I ordered a full leg body for Nico as I thought his legs aren't that short and I love dressing my babies in a onesie to show off their fat rolls, it's the same body I'm going to use for Noah. This is the body..

There was also a DVD in the order as well, this one on the other hand is the Precious Little Baby Dust tutorial. This is the DVD I was originally going to order as I love Rachel and Cassie so much and I love their work. This is how the cover looks like..

So excited to get the shipment and start working on them. Did I mention this is my first time officially reborning? Well it is, I hope I don't get discouraged along the way and get it right.

Ordering Tools

I just placed an order for a few tools and paints I need from MacPherson's website. I ordered a Noah by Reva Schick.
I'm going to work on him while watching an instructional DVD to guide me because trust me I need guidance when it comes to getting the undertones right. This is a completed head, I'm going to enjoy painting him.

I can't get over how realistic his hands are... they make me speechless. I LOVE his toes! I can't wait to put him in sandals.

This is the blank kit, I ordered a body with no hip joints what-so-ever not even the teeny tiny ones, so I can dress him in just a onesie.

This is the tutorial I'm going to be using as a guide. Tell me what are your thoughts about this tutorial and if any of you guys heard of it or even used it.
